On April 23rd 2015, our 8 year old son Lane died from cancer. He was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and spent 3 years battling the disease. Lane suffered tremendously during his treatment, enduring chemotherapy, radiation, and surgeries. No matter how sick he became, Lane always saw it as a new, positive experience. Through it all, he never complained. Even through the hard times, when we were consumed by despair, Lane always lived in hope.
Lane was an inspiration to many. Through his life journey, he inspired others by what he had learned. This, in turn, led others to live a more impactful life. We knew that Lane was a special angel sent from God, never ours to be. Lane will forever live in the kingdom of heaven, but on earth, his spirit remains, continuing to touch us all.
To continue Lane's legacy, we have created the LANE: Living a New Experience fund.
The LANE fund is a non-for-profit established through the American Endowment Foundation. The American Endowment Foundation is the leader in independent donor advised funds in the U.S., helping donors achieve their charitable legacy. The Lane fund provides children with a new experience through education, athletics, and/or arts to foster stewardship in their community. The LANE fund believes small acts will achieve big dreams, just as Lane was able to do. Donors can choose the amount to inspire thus influences a positive new experience for children and the community at large. Your gifts make it possible to keep Lane's legacy alive while allowing children to live a new experience.
